    [CONCEPT ART] "Growth"

    My submissions for the UTMC contest over on polycount. The idea is that nature has begun reclaiming the arena. There is not really much of a story behind it I just like the idea:

    This is fantastic, I feel this is a colorful way of fitting into the art direction and still keeping the grimy UT feel.

      brings back some of the TokaraForest-ish vibe, which I actually liked, and was present in some other ONS maps too. I think it would help tie together the vibe of the different gametypes. Not have it everywhere, mind you, but in a handful of maps in each gametype. It could even affect gameplay, like being able to run along some larger branches or over boards laid across them etc.

        Yeah, would be a cool idea to have classic UT maps and make them like they've been abandoned.

            It does reminds to some ut2004 style map and old skool mix dunno it has some good vibrance in this art painting, very nice!

                  Thanks guys! I've always liked the mix of nature and manmade so hopefully we get some of this in the game. Those maps were definitely an inspiration.

                    Reminds me a lot of Idoma!

                    That being said, the contrast and darkness in your concepts may need to be turned down. Remember, visual clarity is a big goal for this UT.
