              Quick update ! I'm now revisiting my meshes to clean them up and add in some details. The end result is looking more industrial and has a ton less polygons. There are 8 of these in the map, I saved 1k polygons per mesh = 8k polygons saved in the map.

                  I can finally get back to my old meshes and give them the industrial vibe I always wanted to go for with this map ! Having a lot of fun revisiting these meshes, reimporting them in the map and see the difference. It is so refreshing compared to finishing to mesh the map...

                  Anyway, wip of the industrial arches I created on one side of the main room in the map. For me the lower part was always a placeholder for something much more defined. On the left the original mesh with the very rectangular lower bars and attaches to the body of the arch. On the right the new version of these lower bars. I am now starting some work on the pipe inside and detailing differently the main part.

                    This is probably among the first 5 meshes I put in the map... one of the oldest mesh ever in this map. The general shape fits as I built the other meshes to go around this one, but the style... definitely no way I let this go like this in the final build! I started working on a refresh, this is really a fun process to reinvent the current meshes

                          The first pass of improvement of the geometry is done for this mesh. I am quite happy with the new one, though it still requires some more detailing imo

                              - Removed empty BSP brushes
                              - Fix player spawns
                              - New lightmass settings (following Epic standards)
                              - Fixed a couple zbuffer fighting issues
                              - Fixed a couple meshes going through each other
                              - Started fixing the bug with not all weapons activating the trap, only
                              flak primary left to fix



                              Meshes

                              - SM_Pipe_HighPressure: geometry optimization and completion
                              - SM_Hydraulics_Arches: geometry refresh and cleaning
                              - SM_Minigun_Structure_Fan: inserted three windows and added
                              industrial style details
                              - SM_Hydraulics_Distribution: completely new geometry


                              I also added windows to the center of the minigun fan structure, wip.
