Map Won't Cook/share Unless I Rename Them Using a Short Word

    [BUG] Map Won't Cook/share Unless I Rename Them Using a Short Word

    None of my maps will cook unless I rename them something totally different. Any idea what could be causing this?

    For instance. DM-TwinFalls-v05 won't share but DM-TF-v05 will, same map different name. I even tried rename it to DM-HiddenFalls, still didn't work, I tried renaming it DM-Solitude, it still didn't work. When I named it DM-**** is worked.

    The same for my map DM-Radioactive. It will only work if I rename it to something really short. Like DM-****, that worked fine. lol what is going on! Why won't my maps share I just get a share failed every time.

      I have experienced the same thing. The filepath is too long and then the build fails, but renaming it to something shorter works.

        Filepath length issues are related to operating system.
        The best practice to avoid them is to keep SDK/engine/tools installation path as short as possible.

          So true.

          String length in UET4 is a bee-hatch.

          If you check the thread for HeatRay (below) you can see where this caused a near mental breakdown for me late last year.

            I think I was heading the same way! Yeah I renames a water texture to something shorter and it worked. I may have keep an eye on all the asset names now.
