    Aligning / Resizing Brushes

    Hi,

I get the feeling that I am doing wrong. I come from a Quake III level editing world where it is really easy to align brushes to the grid and use vertex editing. Snapping to the grid I understand in Unreal Tournament 4 is done on an origin level and not the sides of the brush. Creating a square room (by adding, not subtracting) seems to take quite some time and aligning the brushes seems to be close to a nightmare.

As a lot of things have been built with the Unreal Editor, I am sure that I am doing something wrong. Anyone have some pointers?

    Regards,

    Flexy

One does not simply resize BSP in Unreal Editor...

You never do resizing or rotations on BSPs, it will put them off grid. To do that you have to use the geometry mode (top left in your editor) and move the vertices accordingly.

Vertex editing, face/edge dragging and my new best friend the pen tool. Pen tool does the same job as the old 3D shape editor only much better and far easier to use.
