What to do when you run out of ideas for a map's layout?

I'm just wondering, what do I do if I run out of ideas for the layout of a map but don't want to start over?

Should I take a break and come back to it later? Brainstorm for another two hours? Take suggestions or something?

I personally don't know. Trying to make an Indoor/Outdoor type DM map for about 12-16 players and it's like... only big enough for 4 I feel. Have tons of ideas, just don't know where to put stuff that would work, nothing really feels right.
Incase someone wants to suggest a thing or something, here's a link to some screenshots of my map as it currently is. http://imgur.com/gallery/LH7N0

I'm new at this so... yeah.
Working on DM-Norkeep here and there. Will likely expand it into more of a singleplayer Monster Hunt-style map/Map Pack able to also work as a Deathmatch map, and therefore, an Invasion map.

    Working on Project Overkill currently.

Take a step back. play the map, play other maps. find what works well and consider ways to implement those aspects of other maps into yours. try things. if youre not sure an idea you have will work well... try it. if it doesn't work well. consider why its not working and then how you can change it for the better.
