    Some Quick beginner help

    Hi all,

Sorry for posting this, I know this is a really noob question but when I download other people's maps where exactly do I save the .PAK file? I can't seem to find the editor folder

I've just begun using this editor and have started building my first map ever. I'd like to get involved hopefully.

    Have a nice day!

Just as an addition to what Darksteel said: You cannot open .pak files in the editor. You can only open them in the actual game by going to the create a game tab to see all the maps you have downloaded.

      cheers.

Imma highjack this thread with my own beginner questions

If the map is built in the Source Code version of the editor, can the Pak file be loaded into the playable version? I, unfortunately went from trying to finagle with the aiming to making a map without switching projects.

Also, how can the map file's name and folder location change? Everytime I try to change it for organization purposes, I get a "Can not save" error.
