    CTF-Eruption

    During a 3 week period I've been working on this map for a school assignment.

    Instructions:
    Put pak in Documents/UnrealTournament/Saved/Paks/MyContent

    Recommended playercount: 8-12

    Info: CTF-Eruption is a medium sized CTF map with lava/castle theme.
    Almost all assets used are from Epic's level TitanPass.

    In order to get this map done in 3 weeks I skipped the whole part of making a bsp shell as I knew I wouldn't be able to mesh it out fully and do some proper collision placement had I not skipped the bsp shell.

    Bugs:

    The lighting is completely off on the background rocks.

    Flag will not be returned immediately when a flag carrier dies in lava

    Bots will only go for the middle route

    Changelog Beta 2:


    Lighting modified slightly (brighter)

    Collision issue @ the superhelm has been fixed

    Minor material changes

    Sphere Reflection Capture nodes added, metal materials no longer pitch black from certain angles

    Modified Lightmass Importance volume to cover the entire playable area

    Looks pretty cool judging from the screenshots. Maybe a bit dark, though.

      Having ominous looking dark mountains silhouetted against a dimly lit sky is pretty neat, but you really need to FILL the normal combat areas up with lighting as much as you can. It's already hard enough to see people in this game, making your map dark by design is just going to be headache-inducing.

      Looking forward to seeing more, though!

        And yes the playable area is indeed way too dark at the moment, should be better by the time I get a playable version out

                      Layout, meshing and first lighting pass look **** nice bro

                      Unfortunately, I can't dwn from mediafire at work, it is blocked by the firewall So I can't play the map...

                      Hope to play the map soon

                        There are a few bugs and inconsistencies but I expected that from only 3 weeks of work although it was pretty much 24/7

                              Hi JonCza,

                              first of all: your map looks really great from the posted screenshots!

                              Second: did you really update the download link? Still shows me version V1, not V2, or ist the filename still the old one?
