[Map] DM-DeepBlue [Recooked Version 20180312]

    I haven't played the map yet, the things I mentioned are just speculation from the screenshots/video of the map. I'll try to give the map a try later on tonight when I get off work, and then be more specific.

        Today I am starting to reboot this map.

        After this long time, the map feels very different from what I remember. The scale doesn't feel right in the latest build so I will start from there first. The teleporter is also another problem that must fix. And visual clarity issues (yes even though the meshes are simple there could still be visual clarity issues related to how the shapes are formed and the lighting).

        I expect to at least spend a few days on this one before i can have anything presentable.

            Sorry for the delay. The new version was planned to be released about one month ago, but then i decided to rescale the whole map which then caused me to re-align every bits.
            But I am uploading this map now!

            Wait for the post to be updated.

            More details about the changes:

            The biggest changes are the scale, the top and the bottom (the small island), and the overall cleaner look.

            - The scale is now 115% of the previous one. I tested 110%, 120% and this feels the best.
            - The top side is now another playable level. It was those isolated vertical walls but now they are all connected. With that I can add extra pickups like vials and a 25a.
            - The only two jump pads in the main area are now lifts, so that:
            a) more fun lift jumps to connect the different levels.
            b) sounds less confusing when you hear a jump pad sound it is someone going to the island or coming back.
            - Added back the jump pads as the connections between the main area and the small island.
            a) The 3 directions of the pads are giving the player much more choices
            b) The AI can now pathfind through that area without a problem (it was buggy one year ago)
            - The island layout is now a bit more "advanced" to have 3 pads, 1 lift (and lift jumps), 3 sub levels. And more important
            a) It can now support a little bit cat and mouse game.
            b) The 3 pads are having different pros and cons. The safest (close to 2 HPs, back to under the belt) , the best rewarded (close to the vials, to the powerup), the quickest
            c) The vest is now moved to that island, and also the boots
            d) The powerup berserk replaces the double damage and locates at one of the path of the pads
            - Tweaked the locations of the pickups to make the central of the main area ground level less busy.
            - Blocked the path from the RL to the armor (was the vest but now the 50a) nearby with a glass wall so the flow is guided to the two sides
            - Relocated the belt to a location that is more or less evenly reachable from different angles.
            - The whole visual style is now more sleek (i hope). I guess this will be the direction of the map.
            a) They are still placeholders. The meshes and the materials.
            b) Thinking about adding water elements

                      It was once here but then relocated to around this big planet in a far world where there's a bright blue sun.

                          Sorry for the delay, lately it's super busy and the only time i had for mapping i spent on Deck.

                          BTW, i made this fun fact picture, to show the size of the background planet in this map,
                          I hope not too far in the future i can come back to work on this map, there are many ideas waiting to be put in...
