    [PROTOTYPE] DM-Outpost

    Disclaimer: this project is an experiment to adapt the new trick jumping to a low gravity world.

    Just finished listening to UT2004 Soundtracks and I remembered how aerial the maps were. This feeling of almost flying and peaceful environments. So here is a very quick preview of what came to my mind when listening to "level 8". The idea is to be in a lunar outpost with both indoor and outdoor action. The gravity is lower and the trick jumps are so different. In the picture below just the beginning: this time I try to create the concept directly in the editor, will see where this leads.



    How do you feel about a lunar map ? Low gravity ? And larger maps ?

    Looks like a promising start!
    Do you intend to make the entire map LG or just the outside areas?

        LG ? Not sure what you mean by that, but I will put blocking volumes to prevent the players from running too far. Though they will simply lose time and opportunities to kill if they run away The outside should be playable and have items / weapons of interest to make sure the players are rewarded for going that far.

            Yeah, LG everywhere ! Opens new possiblities. Also I'm like at -6 instead of -9.81 of gravity, so it's not too floaty either
