Another example of quality teamwork, where a mix of concept, sounds, art, and code come together.

No, it's not perfect yet. It's seriously WIP. But, as we say, onward and upward.

I'd like to reiterate the teamwork that's going on here is awesome. We all are working in our little pockets, many miles apart and we still make cool stuff like this. Chaos is truly a team I'm proud to be a part of.

This one is way early in the making, and is also pre-art, but watch what happens to the player dodging while meeting the gaze of the Ice Medusa

In our current implementation of Medusa (not shown in video), that bot will die from that encounter. He dodged off the ledge, and Medusa will freeze you and you will drop very hard to the floor below and you will shatter into ice pieces(assuming die from it). It all depends on how long the drop is.

This week we embark on what perhaps is our most challenging relic yet: Gemini.

It's going to be weird and Chaotic. You will summon a pale and ghostly version of You from the Realms of Chaos to help you. Like a ghost, these minions won't be quite as powerful as you in the physical realm, but who knows what other eerie abilities they may possess! We shall see, it's all WIP and all but I'm sure this is going to be a fun one. This is the last Relic to implement! As I'm sure everyone has noticed, we are here to add Chaos and Fun, and I've saved the best for last, which is a sure thing for Chaotic Pleasure (muruahaha).

Haven't posted a lot in this thread recently, but we are still going strong. Warhead has posted a dev-studio type of WIP pic of Gemini



and he's writing CoverMe AI for it.

Thatscrawnykid has posted a few just-begun Proxy Mine Launcher pics (again named The Claw?) , but not sure if he wanted those posted just yet.
Shadowstar is going to be working on some custom announcer voices for when you gut somebody with the grapple.
Metalfist is working out what to do with Pesitlence gas effects when player enters water.
I think Doctor Flay is having tea somewhere, who knows.

I'd like to introduce the latest version of the C.L.A.W. (Chaos Live Ammo Weapon) The live ammo being our favorite bad-mouthed bouncing bombs the Proxy Mines. With this device you will be able to lob your little friends around the map, setting them free to do what they do best, Destroy!

Proxies are coming soon! However for Internal release 22(starting very very soon) we are going to tackle hoverboards.

Mr Warhead has given us IR21 for testing, and it's a big bag of tweaks and bug fixes. In phases like this, there isn't always fancy new art to show. It's more about tweaking what's already there, and squashing bugs.

Here's an edited changelog;

Fixed issue with not being able to pick up vampire blood bag after victim respawns after a rocket kill.
Made armor shard height above floor same as health vials
Fixed vampire wings not disapppearing if turn off relic while falling
Fixed vampire wings not being positioned correctly while wall walking
Relics no longer allowed to be active while feigning death
Vampire glide now stops properly when tossing relic while gliding
When activating Zen while wall walking, you now get out of the wall walk animation properly
Medusa effect now stops when victim dies
Decreased number of bubbles in pestilence gas
Pestilence gas now works under water with a bubbly look
Pestilence gas now grows out of player body
Chaos is now selectable from UT game setup
Chaos now has a setup screen

The last two lines there are kinda neat. We're now in the menu. Current plan is to allow servers/hosts to decide if they want to use Relics in their games or not. And if so, players get to choose which Relic they wish to spawn with (you can still toss 'n switch mid match). Our relics are not active as soon as you spawn, you must activate them. We are working on a system which limits how much you can use them in a match. So it's not just all relics all the time. More on that later.
