    Hi All,

    This is a small to medium sized DM map suitable primarily for 1v1 games, but should play reasonably as 2v2. Trying to build the layout up as well as possible for gameplay so all feedback on layout / room sizes / weapon and pickup locations / anything that is affecting gameplay would be appreciated. The more feedback I get the better I can shape this map!
    In terms of visuals they are mostly placeholder currently, though my vision for the map would be set in a futuristic "green" city, with very clean geometry and lots of plants.

    Changelog v0_9_9 (06/04/2016):
    - Too many changes to detail. Primarily up scaled the map for new player size and also added new routes and redesigned many rooms.
    - Item placement is far from done, its probably the worst aspect of this build. I still want feedback on it, but not much thought went into it during the changes.
    - Screenshots up to date but video is old.

    I just had a run around the map and I like the overall layout.

    Personally I think that some areas are a little too tight such as the corridor with the minigun and some walkways seem a little thin. Also i'm not convinced on the pipe you have to go through to get the sniper but I think with a little expansion that area could become really interesting (there's also a risk of people hiding at the end of the pipe which isn't ideal)

    Finally, I noticed that there isn't an armour vest and think that the map will be much more suited for 1v1 than 2v2 so perhaps it would be a good idea to replace the amp with a vest.

      hey,

      great start so far, looks more like a 1v1 map rather than a 2v2 map but you can only say that for sure when actually played .
      My feedback so far(also check the screenshots ):

      As in the first screenshot I would make this a straight wall, having such corners kills the flow of a map. I would also like to see the corridor on the right side a little wider, seems very narrow to me atm, there is no room to dodge/avoid a rocket or flak or c ombo.

      In the second picture i would suggest that you can walk up to the healthpack rather than jump up. Why? if you are mid fight and you want to dodge up you propably dodge against the slanted part and become a easy target for anything(also kills the flow)

      The third picture is propably my major concern. Having the vials in there is a massive soundcue combined with the forced ducking, your enemy will instantly know where you are and will deny sniper from you 100%. I would suggest to make a wide ramp up a to a new sniper platform ( get rid of the shaft, its not very gameplay friendly imo ).

      Forth picture i would say its not good that you have 3 weapons in line of sight. Someone who spawns near shock can get 3 weapons in less than 5 seconds which I would say is pretty strong. You could think about removing some of the weapons in the map completely.

      Overall I really like where you are starting, maybe something that could apply to the whole map is to make all the passages a little wider and give more room for movement.
      Im also not entirely sold on the Belt area, but i want to try it in multiplayer before i can say something specific about it:P.

        This is such a cool map! The only issue I see is that it is a bit too small. Perhaps if it was all up-scaled it would work better, even just a bit. Even for 1v1 it would be quite little, but Ill have to try it. Nice work!

            Thanks for the feedback everyone, I will implement some changes. I must say I agree with the map needing to be upscaled a bit... was going for the ut99 feel vs ut2004 and maybe went a little too extreme haha.

                    I had a look at the changes and the map feels much better overall

                    I think it'd be cool to add a couple of slope dodges up to the vest and pads as there's currently only one way to access these.

                      Great progress, many good and new ideas. Heres another batch of feedback.

                      One thing that definitely needs to be adressed is the overall size of the map. I would recommend increasing the overall map size by ... 30% maybe ? just toy around with it, its currently too cramped to make use of the movement (bump your head when you jump at vest for example).

                        Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciate the help. Will work on further balancing the map with your suggestions. Sorry about the lighting Nonemm, I haven't bothered working on it really since the single directional light mostly does a fine job lighting up most of the map, it will improve.

                        Keep the feedback coming guys if anyone else has had a chance to check it out.

                            Wow this map has been changed a lot! You have made it larger which is good. I like the direction you're going. I might miss the old beach area design and some aspects of the previous version, but I'm not sure. I will have to try to give you specifics after I check out the old version once again. I do like the belt area! I would still love to see the previous version somehow just up-scaled, but I haven't even had a chance to play it with anyone. Either way, very nice work.
