    [PROTOTYPE] DM-Guardian

    Hi everybody!

    This is a prototype thread for a Deathmatch, or possibly Duel, map called Guardian. http://www.mediafire.com/download/tq3s596b6bq9yq2/DM-Guardian23-WindowsNoEditor.rar


    The map is based on two different levels; the lower with a complicated path and some obstacles where you can collect most of items, and the upper with large platforms where you can jump anywhere (there are still some items).
    There are a lot of jump pads and some lifts that grant a very large movement capability.
    The shock, which is very powerful in this map, is set on the upper floor in a central position. You can reach belt, armors and weapons in many ways.
    The obstacles on the ground floor could be passed easily with a correct use of dodge-wall-jumping.
    Bots doesn't work at the moment: I will soon fix this problem.

    Now, the most important thing is your feedback! So let's talk here if you like this map, if you don't, or what you want different. Pure style and design ideas are well accepted too.

    For me it looks too open. The players above have alot of advantage, and you can basicly camp 24/7 up there with sniper and shock and watch down people fight.

      The upper area grants obviously a lot of advantage, but you can reach it really in many ways (jump pads, lifts). Considering that you cannot get the sniper directly from the shock area, do you suggest weapon modifies or maybe design modifies?
      What should I add to make this map better?

        There's also not a lot of height variation. There's basically ground level and top level, and that's about it. I'd like to see some tunnels, platforms at multiple heights, the kind of stuff that really keeps UT dynamic and interesting.

          Gotcha! This kind of change will require some time. I have to find new ideas, because it's hard to add tunnels there, for example.
