    UT "ExampleDeviceProfileSelector" Please help

    Hello.

    I recently downloaded Unreal Tournament, but upon launching it, it appears a message saying: "Plugin ExampleDeviceProfileSelector failed to load because module ExampleDeviceProfileSelector could not be found. Please ensure the plugin is properly installed, otherwise consider disabling the plugin for this project".

    Probably you've heard this before a lot, but i just don't know what to do, i'm a complete noob at this kind of stuff, so i have no idea on what to do. Could you please give me detailed instructions on what to do? (i am indeed very bad at this kind of stuff, so i won't understand very complicated instructions...)

    Thank you for your time, and i hope someone can help me work this out.

    There's a know workaround for "missing plugin" messages. However this is the first time I see this module name and I'm not familiar with running the game on Mac — this plugin could be critical for running the game on Mac, so the workaround may not help and even prevent the game to stop working completely.

    Here's how it's done:

    Open the folder where you have the game installed and from there go to UnrealTournamentDev\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\

    In there look for the ExampleDeviceProfileSelector.uplugin file. Try moving it outside of UnrealTournamentDev\Engine\Plugins\ folder or deleting it.

      I just did that, i deleted it, the problem is that the same message pops up, the one that says: "Plugin ExampleDeviceProfileSelector failed to load because module..."

      I don't know what to do, if you could help me out a bit more it would be fantastic. Thank you.

        Its old but in case someone need:

        go to Engine / Plugins / Runtime
        choose the plugin not found to load ... probably is not installed
        In this example, the file ExampleDeviceProfileSelector.uplugin should be modify, change "EnabledByDefault": true -> "EnabledByDefault": false

            vishal-246 : Posting on this thread quite late but it might help someone. I think you are trying to run the editor on remote machine, in that case it won't work. Do the same steps on local host that should work. I was facing similar problems in running the editor on remote ubuntu with NVIDIA Driver 450 with vulkan present(vulkaninfo). I was switching back and forth with opengl and vulkan and realize a day later chmod 0777 -R on the directory is all that it takes to solve the problem.
