    Support for 3DCeption via Wwise?

3DCeption, for those unfamiliar, is an environmental audio modeling engine, which does similar things to what Aureal's A3D did back in the 90s, and have barely been done in gaming since (because of those SOBs at the so-called "Creative" Labs, with that overpriced echoplex of theirs, EAX, that they sold using meaningless technobabble that's equivalent to "natural" and "chemical-free" food). It is only in recent years that there's been a resurgence of that sort of audio tech, with wave tracing and occlusion/obstruction and other geometry (and sometimes even material)-based environment audio effects, and 3DCeption is one of the few good ones out of these that also support UE4 quite easily. You can read about it here: http://twobigears.com/3dception.html

Is there any chance that UT4 will change its audio device to Wwise and include 3DCeption in it?
The new UT is coming along nicely...
Maybe a new Unreal would be a good idea for Epic's next project? It's certainly somewhat overdue...

There are plans to update the audio system in both UT and UE4, but we do not yet have a timeframe or list of features. Wwise may already work as a plugin, not sure.

After a quick Google search it turns out that there's been an implementation provided by Audiokinetic themselves for almost a year now.

As a matter of fact, the Wwise integration is mentioned in Audiokinetic's official site: https://www.audiokinetic.com/product...e-integration/
And I've found this pretty nice demo of 3DCeption for UE4 running through Wwise, dating from December: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=De7QMMqQIhc
Also, even later (February) there's this even more easy-looking tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSVZUsUuMrw

That must make Wwise for UE4 (and therefore 3DCeption for UE4) really operational by now.
