Definitely not in-line with impression I'm getting of what people think UT should sound like but for a "personal theme" should it even matter?
A personal theme is a personal theme, great job on this, sounds wicked

It's has a bit of the UT theme in it. Lately I've been digging harmonic minor/raised 7ths. It's dark, but I really like that feel. Since the game is about blowing people's heads off, maybe it won't be too out of place. Let me know what you think. I will keep working on it if people like it.

Archer, I have Hollywood Strings. If you want to send me your strings midi file(s), I can try using my samples and sending you .wavs to use in your piece.
The sequence in your piece is nice, but certain instruments such as the guitars sound a bit watered down, it could help if you would bring them forward a bit more, making the piece sound more intense/frantic

Also, that's a cool idea, I'll post the midi soon ish after I clean it up, thanks for the offer

Nice, I really like the vocalization, what samples did you use? I'm not sure the vocalizations fit UT in general, but these stingers could be played on Egyptian-themed maps.

Thanks. I think I'll create some another themes without vocals and do mastering better in my home studio

              Okay, here is the latest:

              https://soundcloud.com/nicholas-dama...son-victory-v2

I think it's significantly better. Feedback is appreciated, especially regarding the mixing. My perception is probably off by now after listening to it for hours.

I would say MaxCarnage stinger(s) are my favorite, but i agree upon the feedback, it should be more bombastic, more futuristic, and less arcade/retro like. Keep it up guys!!

And if i'd compose a stinger like that, i would say; start with the last seconds of a heavy, 'thrilling/emotional fight' and end with a fitting closure. I like Nick_D's sound but im missing the story there.

Good job with the first one MaxCarnage, although its pretty dramatic with the strings. I wanted to try something before listening to any of the ones posted so far. My approach was simple and a bit heavy with obvious UT resemblance, which I found in yours too!

Aw snap, I didn't realize it should be up tempo. Just had the opportunity to hear all of your songs right now lol. I'm going to put this here: https://soundcloud.com/mathematicmuppet/ut-1

But i'll work on something new and drum'n'bass like.

Archer and Max are really nailing the feels for me, I like pretty much all of those.

Thanks. I was writing mostly about the "mountain of bones" rather than "the climb to the top". I wanted to try something new and not focus quite so much on the victory, but how messed up the tournament is. Sort of a Battle Royale vibe. Maybe it could also work for a defeat cue in team games.

Next time I'll stay away from those raised 7ths, they're probably too deep/miserable.

I'm not sure if I will cut this into a stinger, but this is what I got for a piece: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...the_Fray_4.mp3
I should rename this piece to "Smothered in EQ"

Ok, here is a revised version of "The Score." I think after this I am going to explore more on what we think is a "modern" sound and blend it with the "unreal" feel.

Are you using Damage percussion? Dat hit at the beginning, haha.

Can't wait to hear what else you come up with. It would be awesome if you did something a little more on the orchestral side.

I'll just leave this here: https://soundcloud.com/nicholas-dama...ory-in-e-minor Something I whipped together the other day. It's obviously is far from being finished, hence the dissonance in some parts. I tried to do something a little more electronic.
