Subject: Cybernetika & Shivaxi collaborations for UT4!

Cybernetika and I have officially started working on music together in honor of UT4, Alexander Brandon, and Michiel Van Den Bos, as we're taking inspiration from their amazing work from the original UT99. I'll keep this post updated with the tunes we come up with!

As for a teaser, here's something we started working on together, taking inspiration from Foregone mainly for those light ambient scifi/spacy Drum & Bass sounds:

Really early work in progress but I think we're going in the right direction, lemme know what you guys think! Also sorry you have to download, wish there was a way to embed music to play it directly from the forum post.

As Cybernetika and I complete tunes, I will release them here on the first post in both WAV and MP3, and will also continue to post work-in-progress tunes as well.

EDIT: Doing a bunch of tunes myself now for UT4 as well as collaborating with Mellow Sonic and Plush Recordings to bring more tunes to UT hopefully!

Mappers: You may use any of these songs for your custom maps, I encourage it of course =) Just please let me know and give credit where it is due! =D

It sound very much old school, which is great

Only comment I think of is to drop the drum&bass a bit leaving only the main bass. Playing the song continuously with the looping fast bass beat can get annoying. Also, if I can suggest is to reduce the lenght to 3 3.5 mins at most. Most classic songs are pretty short in time ±2 - 3 mins for most of them.

We both have taken a short break for about a week due to IRL stuff (real work sucks! xD) but this is the current master we have so far:

The master is unfinished, tad flat in some areas, but in terms of composition, it's pretty much complete. Just need to fine tweak the overall mastering and then we'll be done! With this song at least We plan on making quite a few more tunes of course, and have already started some rough ideas on a few. First post updated link.
