UT's music has been as varied as its visual style, so there's always room for this type of sound in the game, but I don't think we've found a place for it in this title just yet.
    On the contrary, I believe a lot of the music in UT99 was heavily synth and DnB focused, and UT99 has one of the most memorable soundtracks in Unreal Tournament history. I mean this community practically begged to get Alexander Brandon and Michiel Van Den Bos back on the team to create new music for UT4. I aimed my style towards the the style of UT99, and of course my music won't be the only music in the game. I expect many others are hard at work making music for UT4, including Alex and Michiel and some of our community members such as Archer, who will bring more and many different styles to the game. I am very glad you like my stuff and took the time to check it out! One of the reasons I think DnB doesn't have a huge audience though is because not many actually know DnB. It is indeed an underground genre, but again look at those who have played UT99. The soundtrack is ALWAYS praised as the best the UT series ever had to offer. It's timeless and memorable. I don't believe you will have to worry about appealing to your audience =)

    Also, just finished a new track! v1 at the moment, will perhaps make changes later on, but this is the first completed version of it

    EDIT: Made some quick changes, little better mastering v2 now:

    Cybernetika - Antares (Shivaxi Remix)
    MP3 --> https://www.dropbox.com/s/v0wgyq3adg...%20V2.mp3?dl=0
    WAV --> https://www.dropbox.com/s/wd59ps6xuk...%20V2.wav?dl=0

    ( sorry no soundcloud link, I ran out of space on my soundcloud and am unable to upload anymore =/ )

    Wanted to do a more jungle style track, and I came across the samples of Cybernetika's track Antares he sent me years ago, started playing around, and ended up with this remix I'm pretty happy with so far. Lemme know what you guys think!

    EDIT:

    Wanted to add that YES to this so much, this is one of the reasons Unreal and UT have been my absolute FAVORITE game franchise in the world. So many styles, so many themes, I mean it literally works with everything. One minute you can be in fricken SPACE with low gravity bouncing around on spaceships in an epic deathmatch battle, and then the next moment you're transported to a grungy rusty industrial map with tight hallways and corners and such, and I just love love love that about the Unreal Tournament games. It's actually the same with Drum & Bass music. DnB is heavily influenced by many many things and many other genres, and one moment you can have a Drum & Bass track that is heavy and hard hitting and industrial like the sounds of Kryptic Minds & Leon Swich, Dom & Roland, and then the next track can be a beautiful mellow minimal song that just gives you chills down your spine, like the sounds from Bop or Blue Motion, sounding completely different but still Drum & Bass in the end.

    Here's 2 examples of what I mean:

    and then...

    I've heard DnB influenced by classical, jazz, rock, you name it really. Everyone I show DnB to as well says "Hey this is awesome, sounds like video game music!" Haven't really met anyone who actually disliked DnB overall. And most people I show it to have never heard of DnB before, and they like it. ^^

    EDIT TWO:

    Started something else today, not sure if works for UT but lemme know what you guys think

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/5diwa7ok5r...ea%29.mp3?dl=0

    EDIT THREE:

    So many edits! Don't wanna double post though haha. Finished the tune above, v1 of it anyway. lemme know what u guys think!

    Shivaxi - Into The Fray
    MP3 --> https://www.dropbox.com/s/021orzxaee...v1%29.mp3?dl=0
    WAV --> https://www.dropbox.com/s/f94xler3c9...v1%29.wav?dl=0

    EDIT FOUR:

    OmG mOrE eDiTs!? I ended up making a 3RD song today! I dunno what got into me but all i've been doing all day is making music haha! This one was a request from PayBack who wanted a heavy hard and fast paced DnB track for his new map, and here's what I came up with, enjoy!

    Shivaxi - Payback
    MP3 --> https://www.dropbox.com/s/o3px7cwenv...ck%29.mp3?dl=0
    WAV --> https://www.dropbox.com/s/yk2tqt9ilj...ck%29.wav?dl=0

    Brand new music from Cybernetika and One Arc Degree! Track titled Nether Moon coming out on their new Nether Moon EP in which they've given me exclusive permission to create UT4 tracks of these songs, and holy god almighty, these tunes are just absolutely stunning, beautiful, and downright AMAZING! I've put together a UT4 edit for the track Nether Moon and just have to share it! Here you go guys, enjoy!!

    Cybernetika & One Arc Degree - Nether Moon
    WAV --> https://www.dropbox.com/s/e1wqghs98t...it%29.wav?dl=0
    MP3 --> https://www.dropbox.com/s/vzdp9b1ekg...it%29.mp3?dl=0

    I desperately want to create a level for this track based around the song and song title itself called CTF-NetherMoon and my idea is what about a capture the flag map that takes place on a moon's surface with low gravity and everything, orbiting a planet in space, 2 bases on each side of the moon, the white moon dust and landscape to fight across, canyons to dodge between, that massive sun in the distance lighting up the moon's surface...think about it...I think that'd be a stellar map but unfortunately I am barely even familiar with UE4 right now to attempt such a feat, and I'm hoping I could perhaps work with a map developer to create this level specific for this song. Please lemme know what you guys think!

    Thank you very much! I know B-Complex quite well, so that's a huge compliment to me! Love his stuff.

    I wish I had something more to show you today but I actually have some bad news. I currently am unable to make music. It's a long story, but basically I have to buy a new license for the program I use, Reason. I've started a GoFundMe and explained everything there:

    http://www.gofundme.com/ogba0w

    If you guys like what I do, please consider donating. I usually never ask for stuff like this, but making music is something I cannot live without, and I have so many projects in Reason already I can't lose. Making music is my biggest passion, so I ask for your guys help to help me continue doing what I love. And thanks to those who have already shown their support! Much much appreciated! <3

    Was thinking about doing other versions of this as well, maybe a version with some harder drums and such, but yeah I am pretty happy with this. Bigups Mellow Sonic for the awesome collab!!
    Great track once again

    The image in the video is also looking very nice

    Only thing that stop me to keep it is that it's loopable... Have you thought of release a none-loopable version of your tracks for your none-mapper fans ?

    Still, I wanted to let you know that you've made an great job you and MellowSonic !

    New Work-In-Progress track here from Myself and Mellow Sonic collaborating to remix the UT99 Menu Theme. Lemme know what you guys think:

    Mellow Sonic & Shivaxi - UT Menu Theme Redux 2015 [EARLY WIP DEMO]
    MP3 --> -link removed-

    Please note though this is really REALLY early WIP and no where near finished, thanks!

    EDIT:

    Mellow Sonic & Shivaxi - UT Menu Theme Redux 2015 [PROTOTYPE 1]
    MP3 --> -link removed-

    Updated and made loopable, so its more or less "complete" even though there's still a lot of work to be done, just wanted to share and ask what you guys think so far! Keep in mind that the violins at the end and the reverse crash cymbal are more or less place holder sounds at the moment, I definitely wanna change them a bit. But yeah so prototype 1, and it's loopable too cause reasons yay! :P

If it doesn't loop properly it's only because the track beginning / end isn't well made and can be hear. But anyway, it's your call I'm only suggesting, not forcing you to do so.

    BTW, many of the last tracks doesn't have a download link for the WAV format. I would like to collect few of them but I don't see any download link for them in the OP or on soundcloud. For example, the Ice Melt WAV link in the OP isn't v. 3 ?

    As you can see, I like a lot of your works
    There is an MP3 and WAV download for Ice Melt in the first post, they are the same version. The Plush Recordings tracks I cannot provide a wav format for as I only had the MP3 to work from originally.

    Just to make myself understand, I know why you build the tracks that way (loopable friendly), but you must know that making a track looping in-game can be done very, very, very easily. There is a loop function in the audio editor that serve only to do that. It take 5 secs to activate the function.

    So if your building a track that is loopable, the track only serve for gaming purpose If the track fade in / out nicely, not only it serve for gaming but also for listening outside the game Your making great tracks and seriously, you shouldn't limits your talent only for audio gaming but also sharing your tracks with the listeners, as I am.

    So PLZ, considers my suggestions to make the track friendly for casual listening, you'll reach more fans

    I just listen this track, ****, it's a long one ! But reducing by half (± 5 mins) by condensing all the parts, it would be a awesome track!

    I listened this one too, it's another great one!!!

    Like it a lot

    ...except that is again loopable, only good for mappers.

    I'll listen the other PLUSH RECORDINGS tracks now.

    I don't think the loop function is as simple as you make it sound. Sure you can probably take a song and make it loop yourself, but that does not guarantee a SEAMLESS looping song unless the song is specifically built to do so, which is why I am making my tracks the way I am, so that they loop in a way that I am happy with, and do not have to be edited by 3rd party people with the loop function in ue4 which would both be a waste of time for them, and no longer play the way I intended either.

    All of these tracks also already have full versions, most of which are on my soundcloud, so I'm not "limiting my talents" don't worry haha =P

    Full version of Neverending: https://soundcloud.com/shivaxi/shiva...-nightmares-v1
    Full version of Paperclip - In My Mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBNu9hv_CIU
    Full version of Ice Melt: https://soundcloud.com/shivaxi/ice-melt-short-demo

    Just to give some examples =P
