Rom di Prisco + Jesper Kyd?

It's nice to see some of the UT composers appearing on the forums but I wonder what's up with Rom Di Prisco and Jesper Kyd? Jesper Kyd used to work on the music of Assassin's Creed but seems like he's no longer involved in the newer games and I absolutely have no idea what Prisco is doing apart from this solo album Cryptidalia that came out a few years ago. Did anyone get in contact with them? Maybe they'd like to revisit the world of Unreal and anyway the UT3 soundtrack was top notch so why not? It would be amazing to see composers from all three games collaborating!

Just to get some of Rom Di Prisco's awesome music to your attention, here are a few songs, all perfect for UT btw:

Anyway I've checked Prisco's website and apparently he's working on Fortnite, Unreal Engine 4 (wtf? music for the engine presentations maybe?) and a mysterious unannounced title. I hope there are some plans for Unreal Tournament in there too!

I really really love the ambience of Rom's music !
I think it would be cool to see a collab' with Romolo, Michiel Van Den Bos and Alexander Brandon *_*

I reached out to Rom and we shall see what he says, if he says. He's usually very busy at the studio working on various projects, but he takes time to connect with his fans from time to time, so we shall see. I also gave him the link to this forum.

Would be cool to see all generations of UT history collaborating for the soundtrack.

Rom could capture the feel of the classic Unreal/UT music more than any other artist who worked on the franchise since, in my opinion, with tracks like Mekalopolis, Afterburn and Quantum Velocity.

I somewhat agree: while I think Kyd made some cool tunes for UT3 he did not really have a presence on the soundtrack because he had very few tracks.

I prefer Rom Di Prisco, his tracks feel darker than what Jesper did. Hesper is also a nice guy, I really love the soundtrack for AC that he made. I also like Flightcastle by Alexander Brandon.

Kyd is capable of excellent work, but he and Di Prisco made a mess of the UT3 score. Maybe it was too many cooks spoiling the broth, or maybe Di Prisco was just so incompetent that Kyd couldn't make up for him. I don't know why anyone would want to even think about tempting fate again with that pair, when far more skilled composers have already expressed interest. Di Prisco, especially, should stick to NFS or whatever it is he usually does.

I think Rom is still working with Epic is he not? Didn't he score some of the recent music used in UE4 demonstrations? They may already have talked to him regarding possibly returning, which would be great as I loved the UT3 soundtrack. It was the best right after UC2 in my opinion.

I think the original composers of UT99 had shown eagerness to be the part of this and Devs at EPIC have agreed.

Kyd was perfect for the Necris ambience but not the "futuristic" ambience of UT.
