    Proximity sound distortion

    A recent update seems to have added distortion of various sound effects when they pass right next to the player, like link gun shots. This increases the pitch of the sound to really annoying levels. I get the concept of being able to differentiate sounds for shots near or wide of the player but this just makes the sounds annoying bad, even the flak shred sound becomes so high pitched it's unrecognizable. This needs to be fixed otherwise it makes you cringe for every encounter within the game in anticipation for your hears being tortured.
