IMO the electronic elements are misleading. I'd prefer if the sound matched the expectation, to help communicate functionality. Yes, it's a digital representation, but I expect an armor pickup to sound like armor, or at least like "gear". If we did a different effect to go WITH these sound then I can see it, but in its current state I would prefer the straightforward path.

Shield Belt on the other hand, should definitely follow the electronic path. That thing is magic.
