    Situations like the one in that video are somewhat map dependant though, and I think in general people you're playing against wont be running in straight lines not shooting back. I'm not sure if it's necessary to give players helmets when they spawn in all game modes on all maps. You could instead give players helmets when they spawn only on those maps where it would be an issue, for example on Face (if it is that big of an issue) you could make the helmet in spawn act like a weapon pickup in that everybody can take it.

    Also, as a side note, the sound that plays when you headshot somebody wearing a helmet is really loud compared to other sound effects.

      I made a mistake. I said that the head shot indicator sound is not loud enough. It's plenty loud. I guess I didn't get a true head shot or it bugged :\

        Okay so the past this build will not work for me. It launches but goes to a cursor and blackscreen. Ive updated my drivers, vrcreds, and tried installing it through the launcher. Any ideas?

          im getting the same thing vibez..
          I click launch it looks like its going to boot up goes to black screen/cursor and never loads. let us know if someone figures this out, it would be greatly appreciated!

            Do you have any custom plugins, like movement prototypers etc. Same thing happened to someone I know and deleting the ut4 folder in mygames fixed it

              nope I deleted everything ut from computer. fresh install with windows 64 ut launcher. hit install, launch and black screen. !!

                CTF scoreboard is still broken
                was broken in last build, and still is broken
                from half time onward, you can only see the scoring summary - not the full scoreboard

                      Great build, much smoother, I like new menu, echos in sounds, RL... But I have feeling that movement is much slower now. Like walking instead of running.

                      And I'm missing gamma settings.

                        the 02/06 Build is so smooth (in term of FPS) in addition of some great futures. Flak is still way too powerful but heh that's just one of the "sand" grains in the gearbox for the moment!

                        Too much people have the tendency to only whine when it's bad and don't say anything when it's nice. So, I would like to address this little gif to you guys at EpicGames to express my feeling about this build:

                          Primary fire should be centered like in ut3, it allows to make some kills with your aim, not luck.
                          UT3's flak with a shorter shard living time (should prevent spam on long distance) will be the best solution.

                            it always amazes me how everyone has different experiences. What luck i cant miss with it, lucky if they get away.

                              Close range = so easy to kill
                              Mid range = depends on luck - definitely not on skill (pure spam).

                              Now it should be clear.

                              More centered primary should solve both problems.

                                Nobody think this is too fast now ? Seriously i 'm not an old UT player and i have liked the previous release because it was more fun to play. Before The Flack Cannon can be used in some situations, now we can use it all the time, the skin are too thin and move faster so for sniper is ****ing boring, The secondary fire of the Rocket Launcher is useless now ...Now this is less brain and too skill. It's bad for players who play for fun and for players who never played UT (so a majority of potential players).

                                This Update do the game is less accessible for players who want to get fps Arena. And this is important for the Future of UT.

                                Dev Team What do you think of my opinon ?
