    Hi there,

This looks like a generic windows installer error. Can you give this a try?

-Go to your start menu and search "cmd"
-Right-click on cmd and select "Run as administrator"
    -Type in: regsvr32 vbscript.dll
-Hit enter. You should see a “DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded.” message
    -Try the installer once again.

I've tried your solution but still get the same error. Running under Windows Home Premium.

I have tried everything i have found on the web but didn't work.

If you want i have produced a log of the installation but it is too big to uplad it here

What worked for me: fully uninstall mcafee with its own tool MCPR.exe, it was somehow messing with the registry. I ran it, restarted my win7 64bit and worked. Hope it helps.
