This is an example bug. Use this format when reporting issues to help us quickly understand and be able to reproduce the issue internally.
Summary:
Using PIE crashes the UT editor when launched from the Epic Portal.
Version:
4.14.0-3164292+++UT+Release-Next
Operating System:
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Description:
Whenever using PIE in the editor the editor will crash. This is preventing rapid iteration and is impacting many users.
Steps to Repro:
1. Launch the UT Editor from the Epic Portal.
2. Right click and select "Play From Here" in the example map that opens.
RESULT:
The UT Editor will crash.
Attachments:
Attach any necessary pictures, logs, or videos
Where to find game log:
Log file will greatly help if the game has crashed.
On Windows it's UnrealTournament.log file in Documents\UnrealTournament\Saved\Logs
How to find the game version:
Current version is listed in the beginning of the log: look for the line starting with "LogInit: Version: " like this:

How to find the OS version and type:
