[BUG] Random Crashing while playing any game mode

Using OS X 10.10.5 and while playing it will randomly start crashing at any time, no crash report shows up and it happens every time. I was playing UT yesterday and it was working perfectly ok and now it continues to crash. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as rebooting OS X. Please help.

The developers hate us. Or at least me.

I've noticed the same thing starting yesterday. It seems like it might be related to these messages in my Console logs:

"Nov 10 09:44:26 MacBookPro EpicGamesLauncher-Mac-Shipping[985]: App Transport Security has blocked a cleartext HTTP (http://) resource load since it is insecure. Temporary exceptions can be configured via your app's Info.plist file.
Nov 10 09:44:37 MacBookPro UE4-Mac-Test[997]: App Transport Security has blocked a cleartext HTTP (http://) resource load since it is insecure. Temporary exceptions can be configured via your app's Info.plist file."

        And this one:

"Nov 10 09:44:45 MacBookPro kernel[0]: process EpicGamesLaunche[985] caught causing excessive wakeups. EXC_RESOURCE supressed due to audio playback"

Both of those messages were a few minutes before the crash, however, which seems a bit of a stretch to me. I'll keep looking for additional clues and post 'em here if I find anything.

        UPDATE:

I did a couple more tests and it appears that immediately before each crash I get these Console messages:

Nov 10 10:05:17 MacBookPro WindowServer[185]: Received display connect changed for display 0x4273402
        Nov 10 10:05:17 MacBookPro WindowServer[185]: Found 22 modes for display 0x04273402 [22, 0]

        Nov 10 10:05:17 MacBookPro WindowServer[185]: Found 1 modes for display 0x003f0040 [1, 0]

Hopefully that'll be useful to the developers...

May be something to do with it crashing, I set the permissions to allow everyone to read & write to that folder and will try to run the game again to see if it quits unexpectedly once again, that file may give some more insight as to what may be causing the game to quit unexpectedly like that.

Apparently changing the file permissions for that folder didn't do much as it must be defined in the system policy which I'm not certain how to change. Here is what my log stated when I filtered the search for UE4.

Your console log has absolutely nothing to do with UT or Epic Launcher.

I've been having the same issue. Just died the game and it runs fine for a few minutes and then just exits out. Hope there is a solution to this as it's really annoying.

I uninstalled and reinstalled hoping that would fix things, but it didn't. I did, however, see the following message in my Console logs immediately after the crash and it seems like it could be related:

11/11/15 10:38:12.609 PM EpicGamesLauncher-Mac-Shipping[83793]: CoreAnimation: warning, deleted thread with uncommitted CATransaction; set CA_DEBUG_TRANSACTIONS=1 in environment to log backtraces.

I have a similar Mac crash logged and can be seen here https://unrealtournament.atlassian.net/browse/UT-2208.

I've already fixed one cause of this in the UE4 engine dev. branch so I've pushed that change to the UT team, that'll cut down on these random terminations.

Just as an FYI, I was just reviewing all my game settings so I had the associated pre-game window open for several minutes, and then I played an offline match to check my FPS, which I'd never done before. To my surprise the match didn't crash. I don't know if this is a useful data point or not, but it does seem like enabling the FPS display might have been a factor.

Thanks for your work on this. I know it's a lot of work, but your efforts are greatly appreciated. I've been a UT fan since the early days and the availability of UT4 on the Mac is like a return to the good ol' days of UT99 gaming for me. You folks are doing a great job!!!
