Black screen when game launches

    Black screen when game launches

    Recently got back into UT when the halloween update content came out, and my game loads and then goes to black screen. I have no idea what is going on and tried several of the troubleshooting to figure out the problem.

    Are you running Teamviewer? If so, shut it down and try launching the game again.

      Hi i have the same problem. But i have an idea where the problem come from. At first i got blackscreen launching the launcher and after some research i could launch it adding the " -OpenGL" to the target. But after that i got black screen when launching the game. So i went there: https://answers.unrealengine.com/que...en-win-81.html

      Changing the preferred graphics of the launcher allows me the launch it without the " -OpenGL". But changing the preferred graphics of the game don't solve the blackscreen when launching the game. So now im here i need your help

        I precise that im not running Teamviewer and don't have Oculus SDK instaled. Should i create my own post to get an answer? Here is my log file:

          My game takes anywhere from 10-30 seconds after loading into a black screen before finally giving me the menu. Most people I talk to have the same problem, but it always loads eventually. It does the same with or without teamviewer loaded and have tried closing everything else too.

          Happens on both of my PCs, one on SSD and one on regular sata drive.
