    Alt+tab crashes the game and my Task manager

    Hello guys,

    For the whole time of playing the pre-alpha of UT I have experienced this bug and now I want to address it in the forum. I hope there is no previous post for this, I couldn't find one.

    When I play the game and decide to tab out, in about 30% of the cases it completely crashes the game. It tabs me out on my Desktop and I can do whatever I want, but if I want to maximize it again by clicking on the symbol in the task bar, nothing happens. So I am forced to restart the game, for which I first need to kill the already running progress in the task manager. But when I then open the task manager it doesn't react anymore, my cursor turns into the spinning "wait" icon and for about 5 minutes nothing works anymore, sometimes I get a black screen, too. Then if I keep opening the task manager eventually it will work and I can close the Unreal Tournament exe.

    I can perfectly reproduce this error all the time in about every third or fourth minimizing attempt and hope this can get fixed

    My system is running on Windows 7 64bit and is strong enough to play everything fluently on epic settings, so that shouldn't be the problem.

    Would appreciate help!

    Hi, I've got the same problem, if I want to alt-tab the game, it'll never maximize properly after, giving black screen and freezing my computer. The only way is to kill the process but like zedmaster said taskmanager gets "not responding" as well and can't really do anything but reset my pc.

    Another bug for me would be getting black screen after hitting "join" on server browser. It then just stops with black screen (no loading, no map downloading), and after a while pops "connection timed out" and backs me to main menu. I've even made a post about it but no one cares ;(

        Not being ale to alt-tab is going to kill this game for me. This should be high on the priority list.

          I also have this problem

          The only solution I found is playing in borderless windows and just using the windows button instead of alt + tab

            New to forums, but I get this exact same issue, very frustrating. Hopefully this will get some attention. also running 64 bit windows 7

              Still happening, clicking on minimize or alt-tabbing sends entire system into a coma, have to do hard reboot.

                Thank you all for your reports. Sorry its taken so long to get some eyes on this problem! We need some more information to be able to really dig into this.
