    [PROTOTYPE] Open World Stress test. Yes you can play it now, no its not done yet!

    Ok I need to do testing to make sure the stuff I want to do will actually work the way I think/hope it will for a true open world survival mode. This is an open world where you spawn with every gun in a environment. You have health and ammo regen but it will be stunted for 10 seconds if you take damage.

    No time limit. A Giant world. How long until this badboy crashes? Who can get the highest frag count? Its aaaaalll up to you.

      Maintained a constant 120 fps (FX-4300 & GTX960 SC w/frame rate capped @ 120). Movement felt a bit floaty outside, but I think that had to do with the horizon distance; once inside a building it felt normal.

      Had some bizarre issues with giant floating gray 2D planes (geometry, not airplanes) all over the place. And some pockets of smaller floating artifacts. Could be caused by me running Linux.       Found a redeemer and did an extended fly-over. Then got stuck at what may have been the edge of the map. Couldn't tell as I was surrounded by giant floater planes.
      That sounds like a driver issue or something to do with your card. Its possible it could be heat issues too.

      Performance so far has seemed really good for me too overall. Its just such a huge open space its crazy. I am willing to bet that even with 32 people you still wont see other players very often. Which is good as I the open world survival will often be you and your friends just doing your own thing most of the time.

      The question is, how many players until this thing dies.

            This is on the backburner still but I do plan to come back to it once I get ACTF in a mostly hack free state with the class system and 2 more maps.

              The open world demo. Try putting a navmesh in it. I did once, 2 hours to build navigation and that was with a navmesh that didn't cover even 1/10th of the map.
