Would be nice if tapping crouch or the jump key would cancel a slide. The video is me immediately regretting that I hit the slide key.

What about instead of cancelling out of the slide you can roll left or right if you dodge while sliding. -

I've been playing this game for a while now, almost a year, and I'm still not sure if I like the slide. Once you press that button you're "stuck", committed to moving in that direction for a second which makes you a predictable, easy target for rockets and flak. That would be ok if there would be a nice trade off but I'm not really sure there is one. I guess it's slightly faster than walking which makes it a nice to use when moving uphill, since you can't really dodge uphill. But I'm not even sure of that. In fact, can someone look up the different speed values in the code and paste them here? Walking vs sliding vs dodging, would be nice to know.Comment

Can one slide in any direction? I think the 'locked into it' time is longer with a slide and the times when one would use it are somewhat more predicable, what with the 'slide slots' built into the map and any player moving towards one of them is a foreseeable set-up.Originally posted by code187 View PostComment
