Movement suggestion: Leaping via a modifier key instead of tapping?

I am very sorry if this has been discussed before, I tried researching and nothing similar came up.

For me leaping through tapping the direction keys is not so intuitive. Instead I have been wondering
if there could be an option to use a modifier key+direction for leaping instead.
This, for me atleast, would work better.

Even with tuning the frequency between the taps, I still end up getting "misleaps" when moving around and accidentally triggering leaps.

there is, its called single tap dodge. bind it on whatever key you like.
