no shield and dihonored-like teleporting

What's the feeling about the shield? I think it make ut2004 too defensive and encouraged the leading players to turtle and chicken away too much, would really like to see it gone.

An idea I had is too have a dishonred-like teletransport, not a weapon, but a movement dedicated key, you can teleport instantly anywhere you are pointing, but only once every 30 or so seconds. it leaves a trail so people can track you and does not telefrag

Many will leave this thread alone to die, but I'll try to reason with you.

The Translocator is a signature weapon for all UTs to date. It's very useful to leave your base quickly, or leave the disc somewhere for an emergency recall. To remove it is to remove UT from UT.

And the telefrag is its fun and lethal part, you must have been pwned a lot of times to want to remove it.

As a CTF player, the XLoc is a major key in flag running and would like to see it in this game as well. Couldn't imagine running a flag with it out.
