    Help Please

    Please Help I downloaded the patch for Unreal Tournament 2004 and when trying to install it I get a message saying "Failed writing destination file: C:\UT2004\System\IFC23.dll (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process) The destination might be full or it might have bad sectors" How do I fix this ? I cant even uninstall the game It does nothing when I click uninstall

    Try and do it from safe mode.

    If not, does the file exist? Is your hard drive out of space? Have you tried what Unreal Gladiator suggested?

    Could it be because, I have unreal tournament alpha installed ?: What is a IFC23.dll file anyway ?

    Open My Computer.
    Alt Click on the hard drive.
    Click properties.
    Go to the Tools tab.
    Click Check Now under Error Checking.
    Check the box to do a surface scan if the drive is a HDD.
    Tell it to start, the system will ask you if you would like to schedule the procedure, say yes.
    Restart the computer.

    You can watch if you want or read the results report later. Note that it could take hours or even more than a day depending on drive capacity, speed, etc.
