    Windows FPS issues

I wasn't really sure where to start with this, so here we go...

I'm having issues getting a good framerate on the lowest settings (although screen percentage is at 100). I don't have a monster of a laptop, but I feel like it should be able to do better than what it is. Here's my specs:

    GeForce GT 640M
    Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
    8gb RAM.

How can I be sure that UT is using my Nvidia graphics card, rather than my integrated? Framerate seems the exact same despite my settings in the Nvidia control panel.
Also, I switched from my 1920x1080 monitor to my 1600x900 laptop screen for a bit. I've gone back to the monitor, and I can't change the resolution back to 1080 (my only option is 1600x900). Is there a way to fix this?

    Any direction is appreciated. Thanks!

You will not get good frame rates with that GPU, it is very weak. Even my old GTX 460 is a good mark faster and it can't really handle this game at low settings at 1920 x 1080. The GT 640M was never meant for modern gaming even in i'ts own time.

Your CPU is also on the slow side these days.

Maybe try running the game at 640 x 480.

Do keep in mind that performance can vary greatly from map to map, especially community made maps that are unfinished.
