What do I do after my Epic Games account has been recovered?
Once your account recovery is approved, we’ll email you with the outcome and the steps you need to complete before signing in again. You can also find these steps below:
- Reset your password.
- Click this link to Reset your password (Opens in a new tab).
- Enter the email address confirmed in your recovery request.
- Enter the security code you received from your email and click Continue.
- Create a new password that meets all the listed security requirements.
- Click Reset Password to confirm the change.
- Use your new password the next time you sign in.
- Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA).
- Navigate to the Two-Factor Authentication tab (Opens in a new tab) in your account.
- Under the Two-Factor Authentication section, click Set up to enable your preferred 2FA method.
- Enter the code you received via email, SMS, or the authenticator app, depending on the method you chose.
- The selected authentication method will become active.
- Link your accounts.
- Navigate to the Linked Accounts tab (Opens in a new tab) in your account.
- Click Link under the external account you want to link.
- Enter external account sign-in details and follow the prompts.
