How do I manage data sharing between my Epic Games account and MyDisney account?

When you link your Epic Games account and MyDisney account, Epic Games account information including account ID, display name, language, linked account display names, and progress and gameplay data in Disney x Epic Games experiences is shared with Disney.

Data sharing requires your consent at the time of linking on both the Epic Games side and the Disney side. You review and accept each during the linking process.

If your accounts are linked but data sharing is not available, for example if you linked before the data sharing experience was available in your location, you can turn it on from your Linked Accounts (Opens in a new tab) page. Select Update data sharing next to the MyDisney account and complete the steps.
Caution: Make sure to sign in with the same MyDisney account that is already linked. If you sign in with a different MyDisney account, you will receive an error asking you to sign in with the linked account, or to unlink and link again.

When the accounts are linked, Disney will also share your MyDisney account connection and your Disney activity with Epic Games.

How to stop data sharing with Disney?

Unlinking is the only way to stop data sharing, and it stops data sharing from both Epic and Disney. Refer to How do I unlink my MyDisney account from my Epic Games account?

How to manage account linking permissions in Parental controls?

The Account Linking Controls setting in Parental controls (Opens in a new tab) lets you manage whether your child can use their Epic Games account to sign in to or link with non-Epic games and accounts.

• When set to Allow, your child will be able to use their Epic account to sign in to or link to non-Epic games or accounts. We'll email you when your child links a new account.
• When set to Ask each time, we'll ask your permission by email each time your child tries to use their Epic account to sign in to or link to non-Epic games or accounts.
