Errors when creating a payment method
If you are a child and your parent hasn't helped you set up your account, you may have a Cabined Account with limited features. Refer to the Cabined Account page (Opens in a new tab) for more information.
If you are unable to add a payment method, check the following:
Payment details
Billing address - make sure it matches exactly what your bank has on record (most common cause)
Expiration date and CVV - check for typos
Name on card - must match your card exactly. If your name contains non-English characters, refer to Name on card is invalid" error in the Epic Games Store.
Account settings
Make sure your Epic Games account country matches your billing address country. Refer to How do I change the country on my Epic Games account? if needed.
Disable any active VPN or proxy service before adding a payment method.
If none of the above resolves the issue, try a different payment method or contact your card issuing bank directly.
