Epic Games Launcher indicates minimum Operating System (OS) requirements are not met

If you use Windows 10 or Windows 11 and the Epic Games Launcher indicates that OS system requirements are not met, you can try these steps:

  1. Shut down the Epic Games Launcher completely. Make sure it's closed in the system tray by finding the Epic Games icon, right-clicking it, and selecting Exit.
  2. Go into the directory where it is installed, right-click the launcher .exe file, and click Properties (Epic GamesLauncherEngineBinariesWin64EpicGamesLauncher.exe).
  3. Go to the Compatibility tab.
  4. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode for if this option is unchecked.
  5. Select the latest available version of Windows shown.
  6. Click Apply and then Ok.
  7. Relaunch the Epic Games Launcher.

If the steps above do not resolve your issue, you may have an operating system that is no longer supported.  For more information, refer to: Why do I see a banner that my operating system is not supported in the Epic Games Store?
