I see the wrong currency on the Epic Games Store
If you see a currency on the Epic Games Store payment page that doesn't match your local currency, there are two main reasons for it:
- Your Epic Games account is set to a different country
- The currency shown on the payment page is based on the country listed in your Epic Games account settings. If your account is set to the wrong country, the payment currency will reflect that.
- If your account is set to the wrong country, you can follow our guide to update it: How do I change the country on my Epic Games account?
- Your local currency is not supported
- For all the currencies we currently support, refer to this article: Which currencies do you accept and in which currencies do you display prices?
- You are using a temporary card
- The currency shown on the payment page may be based on the country determined by your card's BIN (the first 6-8 digits of your credit card), which may differ from your Epic Games account's country. Use a regular (non-temporary) credit card to avoid this.
