Epic and MyDisney accounts FAQ

Why can’t I link my accounts?

Account linking is not available in all areas and also requires having both an eligible Epic Games account and a MyDisney account. If you do not see the account linking button in your Epic Games account profile, or are not able to complete account linking with MyDisney, you are not eligible to link your Epic Games account to a MyDisney account. This may be due to a variety of factors, which may include region, Epic Games account linking eligibility requirements, MyDisney account linking eligibility requirements, and/or details tied to your account. See here for the list of locations where account linking is supported.

What data is shared between Epic Games and Disney when I link my accounts?

Linking enables two-way data sharing. Disney shares your MyDisney account connection with Epic Games, and Epic Games shares your account information including account ID, display name, language, linked account display names, and progress and gameplay data in Disney x Epic Games experiences with Disney. Data sharing requires your consent on both sides. To learn more or make changes, refer to How do I manage data sharing between my Epic Games account and MyDisney account?

For supported locations, please refer to What locations support data sharing between Epic Games and MyDisney accounts?

I linked my accounts but a Disney experience isn't working. What should I do?

Disney experiences require data sharing to be active on both the Epic Games side and the Disney side. If your accounts are linked but data sharing is not active, for example, if you linked before the data sharing experience was available in your location, you can complete the data sharing consent at any time. Refer to How do I manage data sharing between my Epic Games account and MyDisney account?

Can a child account link to MyDisney?

Yes, once a parent or guardian completes the verified parental consent process. Depending on the Account Linking Controls setting the parent chooses during that setup, the child can then link right away or with the parent's approval of the linking attempt. When linking, the child reviews and accepts the data sharing consent. To learn more, refer to How do I manage data sharing between my Epic Games account and MyDisney account?

Why can't I sign in with MyDisney after linking it?

Account linking is only available in supported locations and requires both an eligible Epic Games account and a MyDisney account. If you are not eligible, you won’t be able to link to MyDisney. However, you can still access Epic Games experiences using your Epic Games account.

For supported locations, please refer to What locations support linking my Epic Games account and MyDisney account?

Is a MyDisney account the same as my Disney+ account?

In most countries, Disney+ uses your MyDisney account (Opens in a new tab) for login. Only one MyDisney account can be linked to an Epic Games account.

Someone in my household already signed up using our family’s Disney+ account login and received a reward. How can I sign up too?

You should use your own MyDisney account (and not the MyDisney account of anyone else in your household) to link your accounts. If you’re eligible to sign up and want to do so individually, please create your own MyDisney account (Opens in a new tab) and then revisit the account linking flow using your existing Epic Games account. Items and rewards cannot be transferred between Epic Games accounts.

Is the Carbonite Fishstick Backbling exclusive to connecting accounts?

Will I get new rewards if I previously linked my Epic and Disney accounts?
