I’m trying to delete my Epic Games account and received an error message.

There are two types of errors that could occur when trying to delete your account. See the steps below for each error type

Internal Service Error

1. If you receive the internal service error shown below, this means that we are working to resolve the issue, and you will have to try again later.
   
2. If you continue to receive the error, click CONTACT US and submit a support ticket.

Issue when processing the deletion

1. If you receive the error "There was an issue processing your deletion request, please try again later."
   Try the following:
   • Make sure your email address associated to the Epic Games account is verified. Please check out our article on How to verify the email address on your Epic Games account to find the steps on how to verify the email.
   • If you get the error while going through the security code step, re-enter the code and try again.
     If you still receive the error, click the Resend Security Code. A new code will be sent to the email address associated with your Epic Games account. 
2. If you still receive the error, click the Player Support link and submit a support ticket.
