How do I fix the "Network Connection Lost" error message?

If you're seeing the error message above, verifying Fortnite game files and/or checking Fortnite installation options will likely restore your connection. 

Follow the steps below for more details.

Note: If you're seeing this error in Save the World (available on Playstation, Xbox & PC), the issue might be that your backpack is full. Create additional space in your backpack before launching a mission if this is the case.

Verify Fortnite game files

Verifying your Fortnite game files may resolve this issue.  For steps on how to verify game files, refer to: How do I verify game files in the Epic Games Launcher?.

Check all Fortnite installation options

Checking both Battle Royale and Save the World boxes for your installation options may resolve your issue.

1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.
2. Click on the three dots next to Fortnite.
3. Click on Options.
4. Make sure both checkboxes for Battle Royale and Save the World are checked.
   
5. Click on Apply.
6. Launch Fortnite.
