How can I appeal my account recovery request decision?
Account recovery requests are denied if we do not receive enough evidence confirming that you created the Epic Games account.
If you would like to appeal a denied account recovery decision:
- Find the email where your account recovery request was denied.
- Click the appeal this decision link, and you will be taken to a page where you can submit your appeal.
- After submission, you’ll see a message confirming that we have received your appeal request.
Alternative method:
- Go to the check your account recovery status (Opens in a new tab) page
- Enter your account recovery ID. You’ll be taken to a page where you can submit your appeal.
- This will send a verification code to the email address you provided in your account recovery request.
- You’ll see a message on the page confirming we have received your appeal request.
Note: If you do not see the button to Appeal, it means you are not eligible to appeal for one of the following reasons:
- It has been 14 days or more since your account recovery request was denied. You’ll need to start a new account recovery request (Opens in a new tab).
- You have already appealed the same account recovery request, and the status is under review. You’ll need to wait for a decision.
- You have already appealed the same account recovery request, and it was denied. You are only allowed one appeal request. If you disagree with the decision on the appeal, you need to start a new account recovery request (Opens in a new tab).
- You have already appealed the same account recovery request, and it was approved. If you have not received an email with this decision, refer to I haven’t received an email about my account recovery appeal request.
