  1. If you are a child and your parent hasn't helped you set up your account, you may have a Cabined Account (Opens in a new tab) with different features. If this does not apply to you, continue to the next step.
  2. Click this link (Opens in a new tab) which will open a new browser tab and sign you out of your current session before you continue with the next step.
  3. Click on the Nintendo icon on the sign-in page.
  4. A screen will appear asking for you to sign in to your Nintendo account. Use the email address and password for your Nintendo account to sign in.

  5. You will see a screen advising you of next steps. Follow the on-screen steps exactly.
Note: If you see the screen asking you to sign in with your Epic Games account, you are potentially trying to sign in with the wrong Nintendo account. make sure you are signing in with the email and password for the Nintendo account where your progress is appearing. If you are asked for a new email address, you can use any email. It does not need to be the same as the platform's account email.
  6. If you wish to play on PC/Mobile, you can now start playing the game from the Epic launcher, just make sure you sign in to the Epic Games launcher with the same Epic Games account you just signed in to. If you want to also share your Nintendo progress and purchases with other platforms, go to the next step. If you do not, your steps end here.
  7. Go to the Apps & Accounts (Opens in a new tab) page and select connect under the next platform you are looking to link, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the linking.
  8. If you successfully did that, you can now open a game on any of your linked platforms and you should see all the progress from your Nintendo on all of your linked devices, and any progress you make from here on out in the other devices will also show on your Nintendo.

(Opens in a new tab)Another [platform] account was previously connected with this Epic Games account

This error means that another platform account was linked with this Epic Games account. You will need to remove the linking restriction first before you can link your new platform account. Here is how you can do this:

  1. Click here to remove linking restriction
Caution: You can only do this once every 365 days. Before you do make sure you do the following:
    • If there is another account for the same platform currently linked with this Epic Games account, unlink it first by clicking Remove under that platform in your Apps & Accounts (Opens in a new tab) page and following the on-screen instructions.
Caution: If you have active Crew subscription on the linked platform account you are trying to remove, cancel it first as you will not get any new rewards from it once unlinked
  2. After you successfully removed the restriction, go to the Apps & Accounts (Opens in a new tab) page and select Connect under the platform icon again, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete it.
  3. If you successfully did that, you can now open a game on your console and you should see all the progress that you have on your main platform.

(Opens in a new tab)Your account for [platform] was connected with another Epic Games account

This means that you already made an Epic Games account on your platform after starting the game for the first time and skipping the option to link it. To sync progress do the following:

  1. Click this link (Opens in a new tab) which will open a new browser tab and sign you out of your current session before you continue with the next step. You can also open incognito tab in your browser instead of signing out of this account which can make things a bit easier.
  2. Click the platform logo on the sign in page (for the one that gave you error when trying to link) and enter your [platform] account email and password
  3. Proceed based on what happens after login
    • If you get asked to Finish Setting Up Your Account, fill in the required fields, click continue and go to the next step below. If you are asked for a new email address, you can use any email. It does not need to be the same as the platform's account email.
    • If you just sign in to another Epic Games account, go to the next step.
  4. Go to the Apps & Accounts (Opens in a new tab) page and click Remove under the platform you were receiving the error for.
Caution: Once you do this DO NOT start game until all steps below are complete.
  5. Sign out of this account (again you can use this link (Opens in a new tab) to do that) and sign into the one where you got the error (you can use console login for platform that you can see all the progress on or log back into it with email and password of that Epic Games account)
  6. Go to the Apps & Accounts (Opens in a new tab) page and click Connect under the platform you are trying to link, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete account linking.
  7. If you have successfully linked a new platform, you can now open a game on it and you will be able to see all your progress
