"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" when installing the Epic Games Launcher?
If you get the following error when installing the Epic Games Launcher: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" this typically indicates corruption in the launcher. You will need to completely uninstall the Epic Games Launcher and then do a clean reinstall.
Completely close the Epic Games launcher and download this Microsoft tool that is used to completely remove programs from your computer: Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed (Opens in a new tab)
Open the tool after downloading it.
Click Continue and then Uninstalling.
The program will load for a bit, and it will then show a list of programs we are interested in:
Epic Games Launcher Prerequisites (x64)
Epic Games Launcher
Epic Games Online Services
Choose one of the programs, click Next, and then Yes, try to uninstall it. Once it's finished, repeat step 4 for the next two programs.
Once all 3 programs are uninstalled, download the latest Epic Games Launcher installer from the Epic Games Store (Opens in a new tab).
Run the installer and install Epic Games Launcher by following the on-screen instructions (make sure to allow Epic Online Services)
