Rocket League Custom Tournaments

Custom Tournaments are part of the in-game Tournament system, which allows players to create both public and private tournament brackets with a variety of settings. You can use the same wide selection of settings that are available when creating private matches. To get started, click Play, then Tournaments, and then go to the Custom tab.  Once there, you'll see the three selections below:

  • Find Tournaments: Browse Tournaments by team size and set a custom filter to fine-tune your search.
  • Create Tournament: Establish your custom settings to create a tournament. Once the tournament is created, other players can join through the in-game browser.
  • Join Private: Here, you can join a private Tournament by entering a Name and Password (previously set by the tournament owner). The Name/Password option also allows you to play with friends on a different platform. You can also select the closest region to all of the participants to ensure an optimal connection between players.

Additional tips:

  • Tournament organizers can spectate the games happening in the brackets they create. This will help Tournament organizers and content creators who want to organize their own Tournaments with friends and fans.
  • The "Joinable by" option lets you decide if your Tournament is either private or public. You can also set your own Tournament requirements by establishing the following parameters: Platform, minimum and maximum rank, which allow you to be matched with players of the same skill level.
  • The "Arena Rotation" option allows you and your friends to choose which arenas to play in throughout the Tournament.
  • The "History Tab" next to the "Custom Tab" will give you a list of all the Tournaments you're subscribed to and the Tournaments that you have created.
