Why does my console account say it was connected with another Epic Games account?

There are two reasons that your console account might say it was connected:

(Opens in a new tab)Your console account is currently linked to an Epic Games account

Here are the steps to determine which Epic Games account your console account is linked to:

  1. On the top right of the site, click the Sign in button

  2. Click the icon for the console type you're trying to connect.
  3. Log in using your console account email and password.
  4. This will take you to your Epic Games account, where you can verify your account details.
Note: The email address on your console account might not be the same as the one on your Epic Games account.
Example: Your console account could use the email [email protected] (Opens in a new tab), but the email you used to create your Epic Games account might be [email protected] (Opens in a new tab)
  5. Go to How do I change the console account I have connected to my Epic Games account and follow the steps to link a different Epic Games account to your console.

(Opens in a new tab)Your console account is linked to an account that's missing some details

Your console account is linked to an account that's missing an email, password, display name, and first or last name.

When you first played on your console, you chose not to register an Epic Games account. Instead, an Epic Games account was created for you using your console account. This allows you to play and save your game progress and purchases for the next time you play on your console.

Select the instructions for your console to complete your account and sync your progress across devices:

How do I get my Xbox progress for Fall Guys, Rocket League, and Fortnite to sync with all my other devices?

How do I get my Nintendo progress for Fall Guys, Rocket League, and Fortnite to sync with all my other devices?

How do I get my PlayStation progress for Fall Guys, Rocket League, and Fortnite to sync with all my other devices?

Note: We strongly recommend you do not unlink your console account from the Epic Games account created automatically. If you do unlink this account, you will lose access to your game data when you play from that console.
