Why are some features disabled in Rocket League?

If you recently created your Epic Games Account or provided your age in Rocket League, your account may be a Cabined Account due to your age and the region you’re in. Cabined Accounts can’t access certain content or features until they receive permission from a parent or guardian.  Cabined Accounts have the following features disabled in Rocket League:

  • Voice chat, including party chat and in-game chat
  • Real money purchases
  • Creating or editing a Club
  • Publishing a Custom Training Pack
  • Creating a Custom Tournament
  • Creating a named private match
  • Using Sign in With Epic, including linking accounts to certain external services, websites, or applications
  • Choosing a custom avatar or a display name

You can get access to these features by asking your parent or guardian to complete the account setup process, which they can do by clicking on the link sent to them in an email titled “Your Child Requested Permission for their Epic Games Account”. You can also ask us to resend the parental consent email to your parent by visiting your Epic Games account (Opens in a new tab) and following the instructions under 'Request Parental Permission'. Please note that some age groups may not have access to certain features, even with parental consent.
