Do I keep all of my items from playing Rocket League before?
Yes! Your current Rocket League inventory will carry over to free to play.

Where can I play Rocket League?
Rocket League is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch. Rocket League is no longer available to new players on Steam.

Will I be able to play with other platforms if I play Rocket League on the Epic Games Store?
Yes! Rocket League on the Epic Games Store has full cross-platform support, so you'll be able to play with anyone who plays Rocket League!

Can I still play Rocket League on Steam once it launches on the Epic Games Store?
Yes! Rocket League will still be updated for players who already own the game on Steam.

Can I still download Rocket League on Steam once it launches on the Epic Games Store?
No. Rocket League is no longer available for download for new users on Steam. But, the Steam version will still be fully supported for those who already have it.

Do I get anything if I’ve already been playing Rocket League?
Anyone who has played Rocket League online between its release and July 21, 2020 will receive the Faded Cosmos Boost and Legacy status, which grants new items including a Golden Cosmos Boost, Dieci-Oro Wheels, Huntress Player Banner, Est. 20XX Title, as well as all past Rocket League-branded DLCs if you don't already own them, and 200+ "Common" items will be upgraded to "Legacy" quality. Items were granted at the launch of free to play.

What if I buy and play Rocket League between now and when it goes free to play? Do I get anything?
Anyone who plays Rocket League online after the announcement on July 21, 2020 and before the launch of free to play will receive Legacy status, which grants new items including a Golden Cosmos Boost, Dieci-Oro Wheels, Huntress Player Banner, the Est. 2020 Title, all past Rocket League-branded DLCs, and 200+ "Common" items will be upgraded to "Legacy" quality. Items were granted at the launch of free to play.

What are the past Rocket League-branded DLCs?

Rocket League-branded DLC cars:

  • Vulcan
  • Triton
  • Proteus
  • Masamune
  • Marauder
  • Esper
  • Aftershock

The Rocket League-branded DLC Packs: (NOTE: DLC Packs were added to the base version of Rocket League in December 2019)

  • Supersonic Fury: Dominus, Takumi, 6 Decals for both Dominus and Takumi, Brushed Metal Paint, Carbon Fiber Paint, Metallic Pearl Paint, Pearlescent Paint, Wood Paint, Burnout Boost, Nitrous Boost, Cristiano Wheels, Spinner Wheels

Will I receive all of the upgraded Common Items if I haven’t unlocked everything yet?
Yes, if you have not unlocked all of the 200+ Common Items included in Legacy status, your account was granted them at free to play launch.

If I buy a physical copy of Rocket League before free to play, will I receive the exclusive items?
Yes, but you will have to use the disc to play Rocket League online prior to the launch of free to play to receive the items.

Will my inventory transfer to the Epic Games Store?
If you link your platform of choice to your Epic Games Account, you will be able to play with your inventory and progress on the Epic Games Store version of Rocket League. For more info, check out our article: How do I link my Epic Games Account to a platform?

Will there still be free items in Rocket League?
Yes, you'll still be able to unlock items for free.

Is Rocket League going to add features or have new content with free to play?
Yes, and we will have more information to share in the coming months on new content.
