My friend didn't receive the gift that I sent on the Epic Games Store

If your friend has not received a gift you sent, follow these steps.

Ask your friend to check their Gifts page

Gifts are not automatically added to the recipient's library - they must be accepted.
Share Where do I find the gift that was sent to me on the Epic Games Store? with your friend so they can accept it.

Note: Gifts expire 14 days after being sent. If the gift was not accepted within 14 days, it is automatically refunded to the sender. Refer to Why did I receive a refund after sending a gift on the Epic Games Store? for more information.
Note: If you sent Fortnite in-game items as a gift, the recipient must accept them separately. Refer to My friend didn't receive the Fortnite in-game items of a gift that I sent on the Epic Games Store for steps.

Confirm your purchase was successful

Refer to How can I find my purchase history with Epic Games? to verify the purchase completed.

Confirm the gift was sent to the correct account

  1. Go to Purchases under the Transactions page in your account settings.
  2. Find the relevant transaction and select the arrow icon to expand it.
  3. Check the Gifted to field to confirm the correct Epic Games display name is shown.

Note: If there is no Gifted to field, the purchase was not sent as a gift. If you do not wish to keep the purchase, select Request a refund.

If the gift is still missing after completing all these steps, you need to submit a support ticket, so our team can investigate.
