My games are missing from the Epic Games Launcher library
If games that were previously in your Epic Games Library are no longer visible or available for download, try the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.
Basic troubleshooting steps
- Restart the Epic Games Launcher. Follow the steps in How to restart the Epic Games Launcher.
- Clear the Epic Games Launcher’s webcache. Refer to How do I clear the Launcher cache on PC? for detailed steps.
- Check if the game is supported on your operating system. Games that aren’t compatible with your OS can’t be downloaded or launched.
- Check if you’re using the correct Epic Games account. Make sure you're logged in to the account where the game was purchased or claimed.
Note: If you used an external login like Facebook or Google in the past, try logging in that way to recover your games. - Make sure the game wasn’t refunded. If a game was refunded, it will be removed from your library.
Library settings to check
- Reset your Library filters.
- Select Filters in the top-right of the Library view.
- Uncheck Installed to show all games, not just installed ones.
- Click Reset to clear all active filters.
- Refresh your Library view. Click the Refresh icon next to the Library heading.
- Unhide your Library. If the "Hide Game Library" option is selected, your games will be hidden. Refer to: What do I do if I am unable to view my library?
Other reasons a game might be missing
- The game was a limited-time version. Some builds (e.g., open beta weekends or press versions) are time-limited and removed after the event ends.
Example: An open beta available Friday to Sunday may be removed from your Library on Monday. - The game code was revoked as fraudulent. If the game was redeemed using a retail code reported as fraudulent, access will be removed.
Note: Contact the retailer where the code was purchased for support. - Make sure that you didn't purchase the game as a gift for a friend.
- Select Purchases (Opens in a new tab) under the Transactions page in Account Settings.
- Find the relevant transaction and select the arrow icon to expand it.
- If the purchase has Gifted to under the item title, it means that you sent it as a gift.
